The following information is provided to fill you in on any additional routines that we are following to help keep our staff and clients safe. (Updated August 2022)

The info below does not go into detail regarding tattooing cleanliness, as our actual routines for blood borne pathogens have remained unchanged to our pre-pandemic routine. If you have any questions there is a form at the bottom of this page.

If you are a client who is booked in, you will receive a detailed breakdown of how to prepare for your session prior to your arrival.
We have decided to continue our Covid19 routines for the time being regardless of the removal many precautions by Toronto Public Health.

Screening:

  • Please understand that I have a small baby at home and have a responsibility to not take unnecessary exposure risks. I am personally not accepting clients who have not been fully vaccinated. Please be chill.

  • Consent forms are digital, for both environmental reasons and sanitizing concerns. All clients, including friends and family, are screened for COVID19 symptoms via our online consent forms prior to their arrival at the studio

  • Staff communicate daily and reschedule appointments as needed if an exposure or symptoms occur. Staff have adequate stock of rapid tests available for our personal use. We have a small supply of Rapid tests in the studio if required.

  • Appointments will be rescheduled at no penalty if the client has any symptoms, a close-contact or is COVID19 positive. Clients are required to update us if they develop symptoms within 2 weeks of their last session to facilitate this.

Physically distancing:

  • Coach House Collective is a private studio, at maximum we have 4 artists working and 4 clients. It’s a lot more of a private environment, I hope that will ensure that each client is comfortable during the entire process and doesn’t feel at risk to exposure in comparison to a studio with high-traffic.

  • Our small team are all fully vaccinated.

  • The tattoo beds are at least 6 foot apart from each other with ample room for clients to be distant from each other; including having staggered arrival times.

  • Guests are not permitted to keep the number of people in the studio to a minimum (out with of personal support workers if applicable).

  • Our staff have all their own supplies and don’t typically enter into each other’s work areas within reason.

Cleaning & PPE procedures:

As most of you are previous clients I'm sure you can attest to how thorough my cleaning procedures are. Our current routines include:

  • High-contact areas / communal areas are wiped down at the end of every day and as needed. This includes all doorknobs, cabinet doors and handles, sanitizing all sinks, full wipe down cleaning of the bathroom.

  • All Windows are opened once per day to refresh airflow and fans are used depending on the season.

  • All tattoo items that are single use are disposed of as normal, everything else is sterilized with our usual high-level disinfectant (same standards as employed at hospitals and high risk environments). This is the same routines we have all followed since before COVID19.

  • We have 70-90% concentration hand sanitizer at each station, sink area, in the bathroom and at the entrance. All clients and staff are required to perform hand hygiene routines upon entry to the studio. Staff sanitize hands as normal within the tattoo procedure routine.

  • Our mask policy within the studio is currently optional but I personally require my own clients to wear masks- even if there are others in the studio who are unmasked. I will be wearing a KN95 mask or Medical Grade mask. I have complimentary masks available for your use if you do not bring one- we prefer medical grade masks to be worn when possible but cloth masks are acceptable. Clients are not permitted to eat full meals in the studio and should wear their mask for the entirety of their appointment unless drinking water.

If you have any questions or feedback regarding this page, please let me know below and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thankyou for your support during this time.
