Booking in for Custom Tattoos
(This info is discussed when you pay your deposit)
General Eligibility, Vaccinations & Medical:
-Must be 18 or older to get tattooed, all bodies are welcome.
-You must be able to wear a mask for the entirety of your appointment if requested.
-You must provide your artist with information regarding any medical conditions, medications and allergies which could potentially impact your tattoo.
Right of Refusal & Deposit Refunds:
-I reserve the right to cancel your appointment if I do not feel that the tattoo is going to work out and that I ultimately can’t execute the tattoo to your expectations. I try to take on projects which reflect the styles I excel in, so this is a rare occurrence. If I have not drawn up your design I will refund your deposit in this instance at my discretion.
-I will not refund your deposit if a drawing has been done and you decide you no longer want to proceed with the tattoo or there has been a clear miscommunication on your part with regards to the design request (for example I have drawn watercolour and you want realism)
-I reserve the right to cancel your booking without a refund of your deposit due to micromanaging your design- I have information about this in the Choosing Your Tattoo Artist Document. If I have worked on your drawing and extreme micromanaging is occurring (requesting an excessive number of edits; undoing and redoing elements of the design; anything that requires complete redraws, multiple unused mock ups etc) this is disrespectful of my time as a working artist; and ultimately you have chosen to get tattooed by an artist and should trust them; and drawing time is unpaid. Your deposit will not be refunded if I decide not to move forward with your tattoo and I have spent a significant amount of time redrawing based on your changing ideas.
-Only under very specific circumstances (see above) that I will give you a refund on your deposit or gift card. You will not get your money back if you change your mind or want a refund, including due to Covid19 restrictions (border closures, mask mandates etc).
-Deposits are non-transferrable; if you pay your deposit for a design you cannot transfer your deposit to a different design if a drawing has already been done. A new deposit will be required to be paid to secure a new drawing/appointment.
-I reserve the right to cancel your session(s) due to inappropriate or aggressive behaviour, including but not limited to harassing emails, dm’s, text messages or any other method of communication whatsoever. In this situation you will be banned from all future bookings with me and with all other artists within Coach House Collective.
-Ultimately it is at the discretion of the artist to choose to tattoo you, I reserve the right to refuse any appointments for reasons such as the previously mentioned, lack of respect to the booking process, mismatch of styles etc. Completing a consultation form does not guarantee I will take on your project. Please read through the list at the bottom of this page for projects I will decline.
Deposits for Multiple People:
-It is HIGHLY recommended that each person in your party fill out their own form and pay their own deposits— This is to ensure that essential personal medical information is communicated. If you are paying your deposits on behalf of your entire party, it is your responsibility to ensure that all essential information is provided.
-Deposits are non transferrable- If one or more members of your party are no longer getting tattooed ( for example; because of lack of communication over a medical condition, they are underage, or because they changed their mind) their deposits cannot be given to another person.
-If one person needs to move their appointment because of an emergency this does not permit everyone in the party to move their sessions without penalty ( see Rescheduling & No Shows ).
Changes of Ideas:
-When you pay your deposit that deposit is for a specific, pre-agreed upon design. If you change your idea entirely after a design has been provided , including changing the style, you will be required pay a new deposit. Minor changes are okay, at my discretion prior to a drawing being provided.
Price Adjustments
Price quotes given during consultations for custom and flash tattoos are an estimate only, and occasionally prices need adjusting. This could be due to the chosen sizing being significantly larger than was originally discussed, surprise cover ups, or the placement changing and requiring more time. For custom designs I always provide drawings in advance and will provide an updated price if I feel that once the final rendering is complete the design is more detailed than we anticipated. I will always go through pricing directly with you in person on the day of also to ensure we are both 100% on the same page and understand the price before starting the tattoo. Occasionally if I get the estimate wrong, and I need more time to execute the tattoo we will come to a compromise on pricing that works for us both (this may be a discounted rate, or a complimentary session depending on the situation).
If we need more time to execute the tattoo for reasons that are not dependant on the artist; for example I quote you 1 session 4-5 hours but you are unable to endure more than 3 hours in one session and need to come back at a later date; or you can't make it to the shop before 1pm; this would require an additional flat fee of $150 to hold another date and covers set up/material costs.
Rescheduling and No Shows:
-Things happen, I am flexible if you need to reschedule please let me know as soon as possible. I would prefer that you don’t come to the shop if you are sick, not only is it very taxing on your body but I am also pregnant and have a toddler at home.
-If you do reschedule 72 hours or less before your appointment then your deposit may be forfeited and future appointments may be cancelled- this includes for reasons such as finances, car trouble, being called into work. If you continuously reschedule your appointment (3 + times ) your deposit will be forfeited, regardless of the time frame in which you reschedule. You will be required to pay a new deposit to secure your appointments, the same days may not be available. This is at my discretion and is on a case by case basis.
-If you do not show up to your appointment you will lose your deposit and I will refuse any future bookings with you- including entries to giveaways. Please be cool!
Touch Ups:
-Touch ups are not usually required but I do offer them for free within 1-3 months of your tattoo appointment. Please reach out via email and I can squeeze you in my schedule. If you have another appointment scheduled with me I would be happy to touch up your other tattoo by me at that time, just let me know in advance so I can allocate extra time.
-If I suspect you did not follow your aftercare, including not wearing sunscreen on your tattoo, picking at scabs etc, you may be charged if you wish to get a touch up.
-If your tattoo is on the hands, fingers or feet you will have been made aware during your session that touch ups in this area are not free and will be charged on a case-by-case basis.
-Cover ups typically require more than one touch up, only the first touch up is free.
-If you have a tattoo from me that is 1+ year old and it needs a touch up now - but it didn’t when it was fresh- this may be due to sun damage and photos will be required to book in. These touch ups are not free as they are considered ‘refreshes’ or reworks and will be priced accordingly.

-Clients agree that to the best of their knowledge they have no medical or mental impairments which could directly or indirectly influence their decision making. Each client is freely making the decision to get tattooed with no feeling of coercion by outside parties or groups.
-Clients are aware that variations in colour and design may exist between any tattoo design and as ultimately applied to an individuals body, including changes in healed colour, line thickness, natural fading etc.
-Clients must listen to aftercare instructions provided by their artist and are aware of their responsibility to take care of their tattoo as well as the risks and signs of infection.
-Clients understand that any skin treatments, laser hair removal, plastic surgery, hair dye on head tattoos, sunburn or other skin altering procedures may result in adverse permanent changes to their tattoo.
-Clients understand how to take care of their tattoo and how to look for warning signs of infection. (information provided at session). Clients understand that once they leave the studio their new tattoo their own responsibility and that any damage to their body as a direct result of negligence is their personal responsibility, including paying for a touch up if necessary.
-Everyone in studio is aware that Coach House Collective is an inclusive environment which should be treated with respect. Any behaviour deemed remotely inappropriate, towards staff or between clients will not be tolerated. This includes refusal to follow our mask requirements if asked. (Our team reserves the right to terminate your appointment at any time if we have a strong belief that this behaviour is occurring. This includes cancelling future appointments).
-Clients are aware of our photography policies- detailed in the consent form- and aware of their rights to be photographed.
